Cashier / Sales Associate -
Once Upon A Child Position Summary:
The Cashier/Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, purchasing gently used children's items from customers, processing inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Evaluate and purchase gently used children's clothing, shoes, toys, and baby equipment according to company standards. Sort, tag, price, and stock merchandise on the sales floor. Operate cash registers and process customer transactions accurately. Maintain attractive merchandise displays and store cleanliness. Assist with inventory management and organization of backroom stock. Explain buying policies and procedures to customers. Help meet store sales goals and performance expectations. Follow all safety, loss prevention, and company policies.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods. Knowledge of children's brands and products is preferred. Retail experience is a plus but not required.
