Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and retail sales, with the ability to engage customers effectively. This role involves assisting customers in their shopping experience, managing transactions, and maintaining the store's appearance. A background in grocery store operations or retail sales is preferred. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers throughout their shopping experience. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience. Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending additional items that complement their purchases. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing product displays and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing. Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance. Utilize strong communication skills to handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is highly desirable. Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele effectively. Experience with merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as this will enhance customer interactions.
