Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Jewelry Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers in selecting and purchasing jewelry. Your expertise in retail sales, merchandising, and product demonstrations will help create a memorable shopping experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their jewelry selections. Provide product demonstrations and educate customers about various jewelry pieces. Utilize POS systems for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices. Maintain an organized and visually appealing display through effective merchandising techniques. Stock merchandise as needed and ensure the sales floor is well-maintained. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases while maintaining excellent customer service. Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment. Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience is preferred, particularly in a jewelry or grocery store setting. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a retail environment.
