Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a Store Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create an engaging shopping experience for our customers. Whether part-time or full-time, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your retail skills, connect with diverse customers, and contribute to a vibrant store environment. This position plays an important role in supporting the mission of the organization through efficient store operations and positive customer interactions. You will be the friendly face that assists shoppers, manages merchandise, and ensures smooth store operations. Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, returns, and exchanges Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns when appropriate. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is clean, inviting, and well-merchandised Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to maximize sales opportunities Receive, sort, and organize incoming donations and inventory. Manage inventory by stocking new products and conducting regular stock checks Monitor inventory levels and report stock needs to management Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet sales goals and improve store performance Maintain store safety standards Assist with unloading deliveries and trucks Follow all organizational policies and procedures Assist with other store-related duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous retail, customer service, or thrift store experience preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively Knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing, discounts, and sales calculations Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills Capable of multitasking between stocking, merchandising, and assisting customers seamlessly Truck driving experience is preferred but not required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and customer focused Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to safely move merchandise and donations throughout the store.
