Courtesy Clerk

The Courtesy Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with a variety of tasks in the store. This role involves helping customers with their purchases, maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment, and supporting store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer customer questions and provide information about store products, services, and promotions. Help customers load groceries into their carts or vehicles as needed.

Bagging and Carrying Groceries:

Efficiently bag groceries, ensuring products are handled with care. Carry out groceries to customers' vehicles, if requested, while maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.

Cart Management:

Collect and organize shopping carts in the parking lot and return them to the store. Ensure carts are clean, free of debris, and safely stored.

Store Maintenance:

Keep store aisles, bathrooms, entrance, and parking lot clean and organized. Assist with restocking shelves or cleaning spills as directed by management. Maintain proper signage and displays to enhance store cleanliness and visual appeal.

Store Assistance:

Assist cashiers by helping to bag items and direct customers to checkout lines. Perform various other duties as assigned by store leadership, including maintaining store appearance and assisting in special projects like reshop.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous customer service or retail experience is a plus but not required. Basic knowledge of grocery store operations.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Ability to push carts and handle groceries effectively.

Working Conditions:

The position requires working in a grocery store environment (bathrooms included), including indoor and outdoor settings (parking lot). Fast-paced work with the need for multitasking.
