Job Description

Ready to Take the Next Step in Grocery Leadership? Key IGA is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Assistant Store Director to help lead our team and support the daily operations of our grocery store. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced department manager, assistant manager, or retail leader looking to grow into a Store Director role. As Assistant Store Director, you'll work closely with the Store Director to ensure exceptional customer service, strong department performance, and a positive work environment for our team members. Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day operation of the store Support and coach department managers and team members Help oversee staffing, scheduling, and employee development Ensure outstanding customer service throughout the store Monitor sales, labor, inventory, and store performance goals Maintain merchandising, signage, and store presentation standards Support receiving, inventory control, and shrink management efforts Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and food safety regulations Serve as manager-on-duty as needed Qualifications Previous grocery, retail, or customer service management experience required Strong leadership and team-building skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed Knowledge of grocery operations and merchandising preferred Desire to grow within a successful, family-owned company What We Offer Competitive salary: $60,000-$65,000 annually Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Opportunities for advancement and professional growth Employee discount Benefits package available for eligible employees Supportive team environment with a locally owned company If you're ready to take the next step in your retail management career and help lead a store that is committed to serving its community, we'd love to hear from you.
