Pawn Broker and Sales Associate 1116 15th Avenue, Longview, WA 98632 $17.25 - $18.50 an hour - Part-time, Full-time $17.25 - $18.50 an hour - Part-time, Full-time As a Pawn Broker, you will play a crucial role in our retail environment, engaging with customers to provide exceptional service while facilitating the buying, selling, and pawning of various items. This position requires a keen understanding of product value and market trends, as well as strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients. You will be responsible for managing inventory, conducting product demonstrations, and ensuring a smooth transaction process. Basic computer skills needed. Bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged. Duties Assist customers with pawn loans, including evaluating items, setting loan amounts, and explaining terms clearly and transparently Conduct product demonstrations and upsell merchandise to maximize sales opportunities Manage POS (Point of Sale) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to enhance visual appeal Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone and in person, demonstrating strong communication skills and phone etiquette Perform product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of items for sale Supervise junior staff when needed, ensuring smooth store operations and excellent customer experiences Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to pawn transactions Accurately price items to add to the sales floor Experience Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a team setting Bilingual skills are preferred to serve a diverse customer base effectively Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math is essential for accurate transactions Strong communication skills are necessary to engage customers confidently and professionally Experience with upselling techniques and product demos will contribute to success in this role Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices ensures positive interactions at all times Computer experience,(Ex. looking up items to price, buy, or pawn, and operate the pawnshop software)
Pay:
$17.25 - $18.50 per hour
