About the Role The Shift Lead is responsible for guiding daily store operations during assigned shifts while supporting a high-performing, respectful, and compliant retail environment. This role serves as the on-floor leader, ensuring that the team operates smoothly, customers receive excellent service, and compliance and operational standards are consistently upheld. Shift Leads set the tone for the team by modeling professionalism, communication, and accountability. They help support staff development by providing guidance, feedback, and problem-solving throughout the shift. This position requires someone who can balance customer experience, operational awareness, and team leadership in a fast-paced retail environment. ResponsibilitiesFloor Leadership Lead daily shift operations and maintain strong awareness of the retail floor Set the tone for customer service, professionalism, and team communication Support budtenders and security staff during busy periods or challenging situations Provide guidance and real-time coaching to team members when needed Team Support & Development Help foster a team environment where communication, accountability, and growth are encouraged Provide constructive feedback and support team members in improving their performance Help model calm, professional behavior during high-volume or stressful situations Assist in de-escalating customer concerns and maintaining a welcoming store environment Operations & Compliance Ensure store operations remain compliant with Washington State cannabis laws and company policies Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation Monitor customer flow and staff positioning to maintain efficient operations Assist with inventory tasks, restocking, merchandising, and store organization Communicate operational updates or concerns to management Customer Experience Support the team in delivering knowledgeable, professional service Step in to assist customers when additional support or resolution is needed Maintain a calm, positive environment even during high-volume periods. What We're Looking For Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to guide and support a team in a fast-paced retail environment Comfortable providing feedback and coaching to team members Calm and composed when navigating challenging customer situations Strong awareness of compliance and operational procedures Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and lead by example
Preferred Experience:
