JOB SUMMARY
Opening and closing the Gift Shop, greeting and welcoming guest, responsible for the efficient and prompt processing of all guest transactions, maintaining proper control of cash and paper transactions ensuring transactions are tendered correctly and efficiently. The position is responsible for providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional Guest Service to all Guests, internal and external, striving to always exceed their expectations, answering questions, stocking maintaining displayed merchandise. Listen carefully to Guest orders and prepare drinks and other food items accordingly.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required skills and knowledge: Excellent guest service skills. 3 months previous retail experience. Basic math skills. Ability to work peak business hours. Possess a positive attitude. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to prioritize. Ability to remain focused. Ability to multi-task. Ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit. Ability to obtain a Class II Gaming License.
Preferred skills and knowledge:
Experience using POS system. Barista experience. One (1) year cash handling experience. One (1) year of guest service experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended lengths of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork. Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Checks identification of Guest purchasing tobacco products to verify age requirements in order to comply with applicable law. Participates in monthly inventory of merchandise and stock. Checks in orders and matches all orders to purchase order and/or packing slip. Sell Gift Shop merchandise, cashiering accurately and efficiently. Ensures merchandise stock levels are appropriately maintained and follows Chain of Command with stock level irregularities. Provides outstanding Guest Service. Obtains assigned bank and ensures accuracy of monies. Remains knowledgeable at all times of all property features, services and hours of operation. Assist guests with any questions, concerns, or complaints utilizing Chain of Command. Performs general cleaning duties and keeps work area clean and organized and maintains a safe work environment. Makes and servers coffee drinks and beverages at the espresso station. Serves ice cream and other specialty candies. Perform other duties as assigned.
