As a Backroom Production Associate , you'll play a vital role in donation processing, quality control, and preparing new items for the sales floor. BellasVoice.org Key Responsibilities Donation Management Assist donors with unloading donations while providing friendly and polite service Monitor items against the store's "Do Not Accept" list, politely declining unacceptable items Perform preliminary sorting and categorization of donated items for further processing Sorting & Processing Sort donated items into categories (e.g., clothing, housewares, electronics) following quality standards Discard or redirect items that are broken, unsellable, or on the "Do Not Sell" list Conduct detailed inspections to ensure items meet quality criteria for resale Clothing Hanging & Tagging Sort clothing and accessories into categories, ensuring items are clean and undamaged Neatly hang and tag items according to store guidelines, preparing them for the sales floor Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency Donation Pricing Perform final quality checks on donated goods. Organize and prepare items for transfer to the sales floor. Accurately price items using store guidelines and research tools. Maintain an efficient, safe, and clean backroom workspace. Communicate supply needs and equipment issues to supervisors. Collaborate with team members to support smooth backroom workflow. Running & Organizing Transport newly processed items to their designated sections on the sales floor Organize and stock items to ensure an appealing, shopper-friendly display Reorganize misplaced items and communicate floor needs (e.g., overly stocked sections) to supervisors Team Collaboration Provide backup support to other backroom staff during busy periods Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace throughout the store Job Qualifications Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Comfort working in both indoor and outdoor environments Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting, tagging, pricing, and organizing items Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for donor interactions and teamwork Physical ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
