was founded in 1955 and is a 3rd generation family owned and operated company. We are a solid and growing company in the business of Electrical, Plumbing, Lighting and Irrigation supplies to both Commercial and Residential needs. We have six locations throughout the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. We are currently seeking a Counter Sales Associate for our Sunnyside, WA location. This position is on site and plays a pivotal role in the wholesale/retail operations of the Sunnyside Branch by providing excellent customer service to all customers both as commercial contractors, and residential clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for growing and working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

Greet customers by providing excellent customer service in helping them in finding products that meet their needs. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively. Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales. Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register or POS system. Maintain stock levels and organize merchandise on the sales floor. Perform retail math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and discounts. Communicate product knowledge clearly to customers, answering any questions they may have. Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Strong Customer Service Skills Excellent communication skills both Verbal and Written Ability to listen to the customer and discern their needs Strong attention to detail. Embraces Continuous Improvement Understand SWOT analysis as used by the department manager Knowledge in setting short and long term goals with the department manager Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash effectively. Experience in inventory control processes to help maintain stock levels efficiently

Experience:

Retail sales experience a plus HS Diploma, or an OAS in trade, College degree Preferred Product knowledge in one or more of the following:

Irrigation, Electrical, Plumbing Qualifications:

Strong cash handling skills with experience using cash registers or POS systems. Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus. $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
