Job Description

This position supports Ace Hardware's Core/Kirby Corporations core priorities .
Core Responsibilities:
Sales Assist customers with project-based solutions and product recommendations Drive add-on sales and attachments, including accessories and consumables Support daily sales goals and featured category priorities Actively promote STIHL & Hardware products and solutions based on customer needs Customer Experience Deliver consistent, helpful, and knowledgeable service aligned with Ace/Kirby standards. This location is based in a grocery store so a variety of knowledge is essential to ensure customer experience. Proactively greet customers and identify needs Provide clear explanations of product operation, safety, and maintenance Ensure sales floor, STIHL display areas, and service counters are clean and organized Employee Development Complete required training through Ace Learning Place. Build working knowledge of power equipment, parts, and accessories Accept coaching and follow documented procedures and safety standards Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and teamwork Develop skills that support growth in equipment sales or service specialization Schedule & Expectations Part-time hours, including weekends Schedule includes a mix of: Sales floor coverage Register support Flexibility required based on store traffic and seasonal demand Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Mechanical aptitude or interest in power equipment preferred Ability to follow safety procedures and service checklists Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Comfortable lifting, handling, and transporting equipment Retail, hardware, or equipment experience preferred (training provided) What We Offer Employee discount Paid training and certification opportunities Skill development across sales and service Advancement opportunities within Ace Hardware Team-oriented, community-focused work environment How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
