Fabrication Shop Lead - Custom Welding & Industrial Fixtures Waukesha, WI Full-time Full-time Step into a pivotal role at an industry-leading family-run manufacturing firm known for its unmatched stability and innovation. Embrace a hands-on leadership position where you will guide custom metalwork projects and oversee essential system maintenance directly on the workshop floor. ### What You'll Be Involved In Crafting and refining bespoke parts, intricate structural pieces, and essential fixtures using advanced fabrication equipment such as shears, press brakes, and welding torches. Engaging in practical maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment remains in peak condition while also leading in the creation of unique shop solutions. Managing a dynamic environment where nearly all of your time is spent actively producing and planning efficient work processes. Mentoring and supporting a team, offering guidance on safety and technical skills to junior members. Guaranteeing streamlined operations within the fabrication area, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. ### Your Skills and Experience At least three years' experience in custom metal fabrication or industrial welding. Expertise in operating and maintaining fabrication machinery. Proficiency in blueprint interpretation and basic shop mathematics. Leadership attributes, including the ability to motivate and guide a team, coupled with solid communication skills. Physically equipped to handle the demands of an active workshop role. A dedicated and dependable work ethic demonstrating precision and a vigilant approach to safety.
