Job Description

STATEMENT OF THE JOB
The lead cutter is responsible for interpreting production schedules for each department which uses leads. Material for leads must be ordered from central storage and processed meeting schedules and quality requirements. Inventory must be tagged for transfer to the next operation.
JOB DUTIES
Operate and set-up lead cutting machines. Trouble-shoot and make minor repairs. Inspect parts following blueprints and check lists. Check Quality Alerts and Engineering Deviations on a daily basis. Record and maintain Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.) data. Operate a fork lift truck, following training and testing. Properly identify and label parts using material identification tags.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The lead cutter must be able to read blueprints and be fork truck certified, or have the ability to receive certification. The employee must be able to lift 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to twist, stoop, bend, walk, sit, and stand throughout the shift. The lead cutter must be able to distinguish between colors and have the ability to read measuring devices, gages, and testers. In addition, the employee must have strong mathematical skills.
Pay:
$21.63 - $22.00 per hour
