Job Description

Copper Mountain Irrigation (CMI), a locally owned and family-operated company serving Northwest and Central Wyoming since 2013, specializing in providing the best irrigation systems sales, installation, service and parts to farmers, is seeking a Parts Sales & Inventory Assistant at our Riverton location. This newly created position will report directly to the CEO/Sales Director. Each day will be filled with assisting farmers with finding irrigation parts, processing payments, processing shipping and receiving, supporting the Service Techs and Project Team with parts, and maintaining a clean and organized retail showroom, yard, and shop space. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, eager to learn, demonstrates a strong work ethic, good memory, a can-do positive attitude, and an understanding of the agricultural community's needs. This is a full-time Monday through Friday position with some Saturdays and overtime during the irrigation season. The Parts Sales & Inventory Assistant is accountable for the following
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assisting and/or performing all tasks related to retail sales and providing excellent customer service, including helping customers identify parts and processing sales Assisting and/or performing a variety of administrative tasks to support accurate inventory tracking, stocking and inventory counts Performing all tasks related to gathering accurate project parts, organizing service tech project boxes, and assisting with shipping, receiving, and delivery of parts Coordinating and/or performing all tasks/activities related to Parts Ordering, Inventory, Warranty Claims Performing all tasks related to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized retail store, shop area, and outside yard to support efficient workflow and a positive customer experience Collaborating on, coordinating and/or performing a variety of sales and marketing activities to build the company brand and increase parts/company sales
Skills and Requirements :
2+ years' experience in retail counter sales, and/or customer service, with strong communication and follow-up skills 1+ years' experience stocking shelves, counting inventory, working in an inventory management based system 1+ year experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or fulfillment environments Familiarity with irrigation, agricultural, automotive, or hardware products is a plus, not required Willingness to complete self-directed training on irrigation systems and parts Willingness to shadow sales and service technicians to learn the basics of pivot projects, parts, service and maintenance Comfortable working with farmers and others in hands-on, high-effort environments; able to build trust across backgrounds Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Proficient in Google Workspace and willingness to learn inventory and daily operations software Understanding of basic marketing activities, social media and email marketing and promotion (preferred, not required) Ability to lift a minimum of 25-50 lbs Valid driver's license and clean record Ability to pass a background check and drug test High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required The Ideal Candidate will have the following characteristics: Welcoming, friendly and always smiling in person and over the phone Positive, can-do attitude; willing to go the extra mile without being asked Customer-centric Organized and detail oriented Excellent memory Confidential and trustworthy Reliable, dependable and always on time Appreciates feedback; learns from mistakes Always striving to learn something new to be the go-to person
Work Schedule & Requirements:
8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday; Some Saturdays and overtime required during irrigation season
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $ 16.00 - $ 18.00/hr+ Depending on experience and demonstrated skill sets Benefits available for full-time employees. Eligibility varies based on time of employment/performance. 6 Paid Holidays, PTO/Vacation Leave Company contributions to HRA or HSA plans Training & development program Simple IRA w/up to 3% company match Bonuses and employee incentive program
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
