Duties Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and staff management Lead and supervise team members to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store performance Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to promote professional growth Handle recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff members to build a strong team Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations Maintain accurate inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies Support shift management duties such as scheduling, supervising sales floor activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies Foster a positive shopping environment by ensuring excellent customer service through effective communication skills and phone etiquette Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost sales and store visibility Monitor retail math metrics like sales targets, budgeting, and sales management to meet business goals Skills Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within retail or grocery stores Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Excellent communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus—enabling effective interaction with customers and staff Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, inventory control, and merchandising techniques Proficient in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and retail math Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as scheduling, training & development, marketing initiatives, and store operations simultaneously Demonstrated expertise in retail sales management, customer service excellence, and store management practices Organizational skills with attention to detail for stock stocking, pricing strategies, and inventory management Experience with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not required Strong time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us as an Assistant Manager where your energy fuels success!
