The Shop / Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, managing inventory levels, and supervising shop employees to ensure efficiency, organization, and productivity. This role ensures that materials, tools, and equipment are properly maintained, tracked, and available to support field and operational needs. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the daily duties and performance of shop employees Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure completion of all shop activities Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking, ordering, and receiving materials and equipment Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies Ensure proper storage, organization, and cleanliness of the shop and warehouse areas Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure timely availability of materials and tools Manage equipment check-in/check-out processes and maintain usage logs Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and OSHA regulations Train, coach, and develop shop personnel Address performance issues and provide feedback to team members Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and vendor coordination as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred 3+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or shop supervision Prior experience leading or supervising a team Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Ability to lift and move materials as needed (within safety guidelines) Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

Primarily based in a shop/warehouse setting Outdoor work and exposure to varying weather conditions Frequent standing, walking, and lifting
