Overview Join our dynamic retail team as an Assistant Store Manager and become a vital leader in delivering exceptional customer experiences! In this energetic role, you will support the store's daily operations, motivate and develop team members, provide knowledge about product that help promote animals health, and ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently. Your leadership will help foster a positive environment where both customers and employees thrive. Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service. Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding service. Conduct employee orientation, training, and development to enhance team performance. Manage scheduling and shift management to ensure optimal staffing levels. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales opportunities. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees. Maintain accurate bookkeeping, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system operation, and inventory control records. Assist with marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and store procedures at all times. Experience Proven management experience in a retail environment with supervisory responsibilities. Strong background in retail sales, inventory management, and customer service excellence. Demonstrates excellent sales ability both on the telephone and on the floor. Strives to increase store income by both cross- selling and up selling products that are helpful to customer Animal Knowledge and experience Communicate with sales Representatives as necessary Maintian an orderly appearance with staging the register and pallets out front Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and payroll administration. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Knowledge of retail math—including sales analysis, pricing strategies, and budgeting—is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Clean Drivers License Must be available on weekend. Some heavy lifting involved
