Job Description
Overview You'll be the second in command at a high-traffic specialty retail store in the heart of Sedona — one of Arizona's busiest tourist destinations. Your days will be split between leading the sales floor, developing your team, and making sure the store runs exactly as it should when the Manager isn't in the building. Duties Open and close the store independently, including cash procedures and daily reconciliation Run the floor during peak tourist hours — directing staff, managing customer flow, and stepping into sales when needed Coach team members in the moment: product knowledge, customer engagement, upselling technique Maintain visual standards, inventory organization, and store presentation to the Manager's specifications Process transactions on Shopify POS; handle exchanges, returns, and basic troubleshooting Communicate daily with the Store Manager on staff performance, product needs, and any floor-level issues Step into the Manager role fully on days off, weekends, and during gaps in coverage Experience 2+ years in retail, with at least 1 year in a shift lead, key holder, or assistant manager role — this is a requirement, not a preference Demonstrated experience coaching or supervising others on a sales floor Comfortable with daily cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and POS systems (Shopify experience is a plus) Available to work weekends and holidays — this is a high-traffic tourist destination; weekend availability is non-negotiable Reliable transportation to Sedona (we are not on a public transit route) Interest in crystals, minerals, or wellness retail is genuinely helpful — you'll be answering product questions daily
