This role is responsible for managing shop workflow, leading technicians and service advisors, delivering excellent customer service, and driving store performance. The ideal candidate is positive, proactive, and people-oriented , with strong experience in automotive service management, tire sales, and shop operations. We are looking for someone who leads by example, communicates effectively with both customers and team members, maintains high service standards, and helps create a productive, professional, and customer-focused work environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day shop operations, including workflow, scheduling, and timely completion of repairs and services Lead, coach, and support technicians and front counter staff to ensure efficient, high-quality service Maintain a strong customer service culture and handle customer concerns professionally Provide service recommendations, explain repair needs clearly, and help customers make informed decisions Drive sales growth through tire sales and automotive services while identifying appropriate upselling opportunities Ensure quality control on all core services, including: Tires Wheel alignments Oil changes and routine maintenance Brake service Suspension and steering work Battery testing and replacement Basic vehicle diagnostics Monitor shop productivity, labor efficiency, and turnaround time Manage inventory for tires, parts, tools, batteries, fluids, and shop supplies; coordinate purchasing with vendors and suppliers Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturer standards Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of team members Maintain accurate records of sales, service orders, estimates, invoicing, cash handling, and daily store operations Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment Qualifications 3+ years of management experience in a tire shop, automotive repair shop, dealership, or quick service environment preferred Strong background in tire services and general automotive repair operations Solid knowledge of: Tires Wheel alignments Oil changes and preventive maintenance Brake service Suspension and steering repair Battery service Basic vehicle diagnostics Experience managing technicians, service advisors, and daily shop workflow Positive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, and team members Strong customer service, leadership, and sales skills Ability to explain technical issues in a clear, professional, and customer-friendly manner Experience with service writing, estimates, invoicing, and POS/shop management software, including Mitchell 1, is preferred.
