We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies. Summary The High & Heavy Assistant Manager supports business growth, project execution, and operational excellence for specialized logistics services involving oversized, overweight, and project cargo. This role focuses on customer development, supplier management, and cross-functional operational support while ensuring profitability, compliance, and service excellence. Responsibilities 1. Business Development & Account Support Support business growth by identifying new opportunities across High & Heavy logistics services including heavy haul, project cargo, warehousing, drayage, ocean freight, and specialized transportation. Assist in preparing customer proposals, RFQ/RFP responses, pricing analysis, and contract documentation. Maintain strong customer relationships, support account growth initiatives, and identify cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts. 2. Supplier Development & Project Execution Support Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with carriers, rigging companies, crane operators, warehouse providers, and other strategic service partners. Support supplier sourcing, rate negotiations, service agreements, and performance monitoring. Coordinate resources required for oversized, overweight, and project cargo movements while ensuring operational readiness. 3. Operational Coordination & Performance Management Support daily planning and execution of High & Heavy transportation and project logistics operations. Coordinate with operations, procurement, compliance, finance, and engineering teams to ensure timely project execution. Monitor operational KPIs, project milestones, service quality, and support corrective action implementation. 4. Financial & Commercial Support Support budget tracking, profitability analysis, cost control, and pricing optimization initiatives. Review project-related expenses, vendor invoices, accessorial charges, and billing accuracy. Assist management with sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and financial performance reporting. 5. Market Intelligence & Strategic Support Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer demands, and regulatory changes within the High & Heavy logistics sector. Support business expansion initiatives by collecting market intelligence and operational data. Provide recommendations for service improvements and new business opportunities. 6. Compliance, Reporting & Organizational Support Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, permit requirements, customer standards, and internal policies. Support preparation of operational reports, business reviews, and project status updates for management. Assist in training team members, improving SOPs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Compensation Range $95,000
