Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of Sourdough & Co., a bustling sandwich shop known for its artisanal bread and quality ingredients. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Manage all aspects of daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, ensuring smooth transitions between shifts. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of sandwich makers, cashiers, and kitchen staff. Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while controlling labor costs. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, coaching, and team-building activities.
Customer Service Excellence:
Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable dining experience. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Financial Performance:
Monitor and analyze sales performance, expenses, and profitability metrics. Implement cost-control measures and promotional strategies to maximize revenue. Prepare and submit financial reports and budgets as required.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain food quality standards by overseeing food preparation, presentation, and adherence to recipes. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards are met. Address any issues related to food quality or service promptly and effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a manager in the food service industry, preferably in a fast-casual or sandwich shop environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or business management is a plus. ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
