We are looking for a hands-on manager who can take ownership of daily operations, lead a young team, and make real-time business decisions that impact store performance. Position Overview This is not a passive management role. We are looking for a hands-on operator who leads from the floor, manages labor effectively, and ensures the store runs clean, efficient, and profitable shifts.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
30-35 hours per week
Typical Shift:
2:00 PM - Close (peak coverage)
Pay:
$24-$26 per hour (based on experience)
Performance Bonus:
Monthly incentives tied to labor targets, sales, and store standards
Key Responsibilities:
Staffing, Scheduling & Labor Management (CRITICAL) Build and manage weekly schedules using Gusto Align staffing with expected customer demand and peak hours Monitor real-time traffic and adjust staffing (cuts, breaks, coverage) Maintain labor targets while ensuring strong customer service Own all labor decisions (manager-driven, not employee-driven) Inventory & Product Management Conduct weekly inventory counts and maintain accurate product levels Ensure proper rotation, storage, and handling of all products Identify slow-moving or overstocked items and adjust ordering Maintain organized freezer and storage areas Vendor, Delivery & Platform Management Receive and verify all vendor deliveries (ice cream, supplies, etc.) Cross-check orders against invoices for accuracy Identify and report discrepancies immediately Ensure proper storage of all delivered goods Manage third-party delivery platforms including DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats Monitor order accuracy, missing items, and customer complaints Resolve order issues, refunds, and credits in a timely manner Ensure menu accuracy and item availability across platforms Store Operations Lead shifts from the floor during peak hours Ensure speed of service, product quality, and cleanliness standards Coach and develop team members in real-time Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently What We're Looking For Strong leadership presence and decision-making ability Comfortable managing younger staff (high school/college age) Experience in food service, retail, or QSR preferred Ability to manage labor and make real-time operational decisions Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Non-Negotiables Must be comfortable making staffing decisions independently Must be present and engaged on the floor during shifts Must be accountable for store performance (labor, cleanliness, execution) Bonus Qualifications Experience with scheduling platforms (Gusto or similar) Inventory management experience Experience managing third-party delivery platforms Prior shift lead or assistant manager experience How to Apply Please apply with your resume and a brief note on your management experience.
