This is a floor-based leadership role responsible for coordinating Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations in a fast-paced, fully-licensed cannabis retail environment. The Shift Lead helps ensure smooth daily operations, strong customer service, and accurate cash handling while supporting management and guiding the FOH/BOH staff.
Compensation & Perks:

What You'll Do:
Open and close the facility, following all lockdown procedures Manage registers, including cash replenishment, till exchanges, cash drops, audits, and reconciliation support Open and close delivery equipment per checklist, close delivery drawers, and upload reports to the appropriate Google Drive folder Maintain daily Google Sheets and provide end-of-day reporting to management via Slack Coordinate breaks and lunches per the General Manager's direction and California labor laws Oversee all FOH and BOH personnel Provide performance notes, report staff callouts and help resolve staffing coverage issues Escalate policy violations to the GM and assist with incident reports as needed Oversee facility cleanliness, communicate replenishment needs, and follow tasks through to resolution Coordinate and participate in onboarding, training, and employee development Set the service standard through personal interactions and sales transactions Oversee Club Eden redemptions and returns, and assist with transactions and online order fulfillment Lead de-escalation of customer issues and route concerns to the help desk and management Recommend customer experience improvements and coordinate all order types, including walk-in, delivery, and prepaid e-Commerce Perform software inventory movements, excluding quarantine, and product counts to keep sales-floor counts accurate Facilitate weekly inventory cycle counts and/or end-of-month reconciliation and process returns and exchanges with corresponding system movements Report product issues to the appropriate Slack channel(s) with the State Tracking ID Handle
METRC/POS
intake and assist with processing, sub-batching, adjustments, and quarantine movements Monitor the fulfillment dashboard from "Verification Pending" order status through "Packed & Ready" status Assign, dispatch, and track delivery orders in POS & Dispatch software platforms Pull, build, and bin orders accurately, manage driver flow, and report service or driver incidents Coordinate the nightly delivery close at the e-Commerce workstation and update the site Maintain driver equipment inventory Oversee relevant Slack channels and reassign staff between POS, intake or fulfillment/e-Commerce workstations as needed Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check 1+ years of retail and cash-handling experience; leadership or supervisory experience a plus Excellent customer service with the ability to de-escalate issues professionally Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Comfortable learning retail and delivery software; experience with Treez, Stronghold, Cannveya, Zendesk, Spring Big, or Weedmaps Dispatch a plus Cannabis industry knowledge and familiarity with Club Eden or similar loyalty programs preferred Full-time availability with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, reliability, and a positive, customer-focused attitude
Physical Requirements:
