This is a new position that offers the right candidate the opportunity to shape the guest experience and succeed in retail sales of our special edition books and merchandise. The Retail Manager will be responsible for merchandising the showroom, setting and meeting monthly visitor and revenue goals, training other team members, and delivering a great customer experience that elevates our overall brand. This role will collaborate with our Founder & CEO and Marketing Manager to create excellent growth opportunities for an individual who combines hustle, style, and service. Juniper Books was founded in 2001. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary year, there are tremendous opportunities for social media and events to promote our retail presence and give customers unique ways to experience the brand. Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Own and achieve monthly showroom revenue goals Drive foot traffic, conversion rate, and average order value Deliver a welcoming, personalized in-store experience Lead showroom tours and support in-store sales Merchandising & Inventory Help choose merchandise to offer in the showroom, including bookish merch and accessories Maintain visually compelling displays aligned with brand standards Refresh merchandising regularly to highlight new and seasonal products Manage showroom inventory, track stock levels, and recommend reorders Monitor product performance and adjust placement accordingly Showroom Advocacy Champion the showroom as a key revenue and brand channel Partner with the marketing team to align in-store experience with campaigns and launches Share customer insights to inform product and merchandising decisions User-Generated Content (UGC) Encourage customers to share their experience through photos, videos, and reviews Identify "share-worthy" moments in the showroom Support the marketing team by capturing and collecting in-store content Events & Community Support in-store events, book clubs, and partnerships Contribute ideas to drive traffic and engagement Participate in developing creative concepts for Juniper Books' 25th anniversary Qualifications 2+ years of retail, bookstore, or customer-facing sales experience Experience with merchandising, inventory, or store operations Experience with social media to promote retail Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals Strong communication and customer service skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of a space Familiarity with Shopify or POS systems is a plus Interest in books, design, and visual merchandising Schedule & Location In-person in Boulder, CO, showroom Tuesday-Saturday on-site, with flexibility for events

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
