Autumn Teneyl is a small women's clothing brand, grown from the ground up in Colorado over the last 20 years. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key leadership role in supporting daily store operations, team development, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You are not only the face of our brand, but also a driver of team performance, store organization, and operational excellence. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team! In this vital leadership role, you will support the store manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. Your energetic approach and management expertise will inspire your team, optimize store performance, and create a welcoming shopping environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about retail management, team development, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. There will be a training period where pay is lower, starting at $20 - $23/hr. However, as trained, pay will increase according to skills and performance. Additionally, commissions are are part of pay. Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling. Lead and supervise staff by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a motivated and efficient team. Delegate tasks and support team execution as needed Oversee merchandising, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and visual displays to maximize sales potential. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Assist customers with personalized styling and purchasing decisions Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and scheduling to maintain optimal staffing levels. Support payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and inventory management to ensure accurate record-keeping. Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and monitor retail math to track sales performance against targets. Handle cashier duties and assist with daily sales tracking Replenish merchandise and maintain visual standards Assist with scheduling and shift coverage when needed Other duties as assigned or necessary Manage and Update web site and social media as needed Be able to travel weekends for festivals and events where you will set up and tear down booths, as well as be present for sales Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, cash handling, and POS systems. Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, budgeting, and sales management techniques. Experience with recruiting, training & development of staff, and employee orientation processes. Leadership qualities with a proactive attitude towards team management and problem-solving.
