Since opening its Greenwich boutique in Fall 2025, Tanya Taylor has established a vibrant local presence rooted in exceptional client experiences, community, and the brand's signature spirit of color and artistry. As General Manager, you will be the leader of our Greenwich business responsible for driving sales performance, cultivating a best-in-class team, delivering an elevated client experience, and ensuring excellence across every aspect of the store. You will serve as the face of Tanya Taylor within the Greenwich community—building meaningful relationships, activating local partnerships and events, and cultivating a loyal client base. You will also work closely with our corporate partners across marketing, merchandising, and ecommerce to support brand initiatives. We are seeking someone who is both highly analytical and deeply client-focused—someone who leads from the floor, inspires their team, continuously identifies opportunities to elevate the business, and serves as a true ambassador for Tanya Taylor within the Greenwich community. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial retail leader to take a new and growing boutique to its next phase.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business & Sales Performance:
Serve as the brand ambassador of Tanya Taylor in Greenwich and own the overall performance of the Greenwich boutique, driving weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales goals Analyze business trends, client insights, and product performance to identify opportunities and develop action plans Lead from the sales floor, setting the standard for selling, styling, and client service while coaching the team to maximize results Drive local marketing initiatives, events, and community partnerships to increase brand awareness and customer acquisition Own the store's clienteling strategy, ensuring a consistent cadence of outreach, relationship-building, and personalized service Maintain a deep understanding of the Greenwich customer, including lifestyle, social calendar, seasonal needs, and shopping behaviors to inform selling strategies and local opportunities Partner with corporate team on assortment strategy and product feedback Analyze selling and support DTC + sales team on annual forecasts and goal setting for team
Client & Community Development:
Grow and develop a high-performing client book while coaching the team to build meaningful, long-term customer relationships Develop relationships with external stylists and key community influencers Leverage CRM tools and customer insights to drive retention, repeat purchases, and lifetime value
Team Management & Leadership:
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing, service-oriented retail team Foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive team culture aligned with the Tanya Taylor brand Oversee scheduling, payroll, and staffing plans that support the needs of the business Conduct performance reviews and ongoing development plans to support growth and retention Implement clear training programs and SOPs to empower team performance
Operations & Administration:
Maintain an exceptional store environment, ensuring the highest standards across visual presentation, organization, cleanliness, repairs, music, and overall customer experience Identify opportunities to improve store processes, efficiency, and presentation, proactively implementing solutions Oversee inventory accuracy, weekly deliveries, stock levels, and shrink prevention Ensure all operating procedures, company policies, and safety standards are consistently executed
Visual Merchandising:
Partner with corporate teams to execute the Tanya Taylor visual identity and seasonal storytelling in-store Ensure the selling floor is continuously optimized based on client feedback, product performance, and business priorities
Reporting:
Share regular business updates, sales insights, and client feedback with corporate leadership Communicate opportunities, challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership Support executive reporting, seasonal business reviews, and strategic planning
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of leadership experience within luxury or contemporary women's fashion retail, with a demonstrated track record of managing high-touch client experiences and driving business growth Proficient in retail analytics Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-building skills Experience managing and developing a team Proficiency in POS systems; Shopify a plus Knowledge of inventory processes Strong connection to the Greenwich community and an understanding of the local client base, social landscape, and luxury market preferred Demonstrated ability to build and execute a clienteling strategy that drives retention and repeat business Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and holding teams accountable to high standards Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and key retail dates
