Just-in-Time Full Job Description Job Description and Requirements:
The Store Supervisor leads a team of associates to deliver profitable sales results through a store, lumber yard and delivery experience that meets or exceeds customer expectations. This experience includes the product assortment, product organization and visual presentation; the service and selling within the branch location; and home or jobsite deliveries. Other responsibilities may be assigned and additional training provided over time. This position reports to the Assistant Branch Manager. Responsibilities specific to the
Store Supervisor:
Consistently demonstrates service and selling behaviors. Lead a customer focused branch culture by training, observing and coaching the service and selling behaviors demonstrated by associates. Lead a selling culture that matches the correct products to customer needs and delivers profitability that meets or exceeds our branch profit & loss budget by managing discounts, returns, credits and expenses. Lead the branch team in the execution of visual merchandising and presentation standards that include store or yard cleanliness, accurate product placement using planograms and/or product shelf labels, correct signage and in-store marketing. Lead the branch team in the consistent replenishment of all available products to ensure all departments remain in-stock for our customers. This includes just-in-time weekly ordering within assigned departments, sorting and replenishment from weekly freight deliveries and replenishment from overhead/backstock locations. Ensure sales details and delivery needs are accurately captured and communicated in POS and Delivery Dispatch Management Systems (DDMS). Plan and assign workload to direct reports based on customer impact, job priority, and complexity. Follow-up on assigned workload to ensure completion by overcoming obstacles and adjusting direction as needed. Responsibilities of every
Supervisor:
Establish a culture of accountability through communication of clear expectations, routines and consistent follow-up. Develop and coach the team to elevate their expertise and increase team productivity. Provide meaningful, timely feedback based on the situation, the behaviors observed and their business impact. Maintain a positive, productive work environment through friendly, respectful relationships with customers & co-workers. Execute opening and closing responsibilities for the branch, including all safety and security procedures. Secure cash, lock all doors and arm the security alarm prior to exiting. Report all issues regarding safety, waste, damage, equipment, accidents or customer concerns promptly to a manager. Inform Inventory Control Manager promptly of suspected inventory shortage.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in retail sales leadership, retail purchasing and/or distribution - minimum of 2 years. Ability to write, read, and communicate in English Strong interpersonal and communication skills Relates well and interacts with all levels within the organization Manages workload and prioritizes tasks independently Manages conflict, problem solves, overcomes obstacles and holds self and others accountable. Inspires creativity by actively seeking new experiences, information and embracing change.
Pay:
$24.00 - $33.00 per hour
