Position Description The Store Manager ensures that sales staff uphold and embody East Fork's high standards for person-centered, tailor-fit customer service while overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly store tasks. Additionally, this position manages the flow of all goods and capital into and out of the store. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively work with the Senior Sales Manager to develop strategy to help meet and exceed monthly sales goals. In order to help ensure all aspects of this position are performed as expected, measurable metrics will be provided along with regularly scheduled performance reviews. Responsibilities Directly oversees sales staff Collaborate with Senior Sales Manager to develop short and long-term sales strategies to meet revenue goals on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis Contribute to profitability through effective management Ensure the highest level of customer care Provide systems training Create and distribute store staff schedule in a timely manner Develop strategies to incentivize sales staff Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, keeping a record of incidents and warnings, and conducting performance reviews Maintain an accurate and up to date plan of staffing needs Be able to speak knowledgeably about every product we carry in our store Demonstrate selling and product knowledge strategies to determine the customer's needs and offer suggestions or alternatives Serve as a liaison between the Senior Sales Manager and sales associates when any changes to production are made Promote the culture and values of the company while maintaining an equitable work environment Build genuine, lasting relationships with customers via quality interpersonal interactions Ensure a customer's positive final impression at the cash wrap by following/ensuring staff follow all company procedures Keep Senior Sales Manager promptly and fully informed of all issues and take prompt corrective action or suggest alternate courses of action, where necessary Work from the storefront, providing support to sales associates through busy times and directing workflows Oversee general organization and cleanliness of storefront and storage rooms Ensure that sales staff complete all scheduled cleaning tasks Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents Manage store Instagram account through collaboration with sales staff and marketing team Schedule and execute quarterly, storewide remerchandising with directive from Senior Sales Manager and Visual Merchandise Manager Serve as East Fork brand representative and maintain relationships with organizations Georgetown Main Street and Georgetown BID Collaborate with Senior Sales Manager for coordination/execution of brand aligned in-store events each month Maintain appropriate event planning workflows and documentation Implement strategies for inventory control and preventing loss and damages Conduct regular inventory counts; maintaining accurate stock levels Communicate inventory needs with Senior Sales Manager Manage store supply stock; make monthly supply list and refill as needed Oversee receiving of all incoming inventory both third party and East Fork stock Coordinate cash deposits; ensuring register always has change Ownership over daily store operations and maintenance as they adhere to company and brand standards Reports To Senior Sales Manager Collaborates With Sales Team, Marketing Team, Fulfillment Team Direct Reports Store Retail Staff Measured Metrics and Review Schedule Your first review will be 90 days after your start date, then a six-month check-in and a development review annually for the duration of your employment. During each review, your performance and ability to achieve the following metrics will be evaluated. Achievement of weekly and monthly store sales goals Maintain accurate inventory levels of stock on hand in store Ensure all store employees maintain and comply to store policies and procedures Stay within store operating budget Maintain positive Google business reviews at 4 stars or above Plan and execute monthly store events that contribute to the community and revenue goals Estimated Weekly Hours 40 hours, Monday through Sunday Location In-person at our retail store located at 1313 Wisconsin Ave Washington, DC 20007 Classification This position is full-time, exempt. Pay Rate/Grade East Fork shall pay you $72,000-$84,000 annually depending on experience at Grade 3 Qualifications Minimum of four years of experience in retail management Experience with vendor communications and event planning Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Excellent customer service skills Strong skill set in using technology and systems efficiently, including POS and warehouse/inventory management systems (Shopify preferred) Ability to multitask while maintaining a calm and collected demeanor Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing Ability to problem solve Proven leadership skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, working overtime and weekends as needed Ability to respect and communicate across lines of cultural differences Ability to address conflict by assuming positive intent and seeking to understand Ability to embrace a mistake w/ out fault Physical Demands Extensive physical exertions which include but are not limited to: Standing for extended periods of time Lifting of up to 50 lbs. as needed Transporting merchandise and equipment Repetitive bending and arm motions Company Overview East Fork is located in Asheville, NC, Brooklyn, NY and Washington, DC.
