Store Manager (in waiting) - We are looking for an experienced leader to join us as an Assistant Store Manager 30-35hrs per week with hourly pay to train in for the Store Manager role. RESPONSIBILITIES
Below is a general list of some of the Assistant Manager's responsibilities. These are responsibilities that you will train to take over within a few months with day-to-day contact with owner and Store Manager for assistance. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of management or assistant management experience in retail. High school diploma required; college education preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in a pet related industry preferred Must be able to lift 40lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time Ability to coach and motivate a strong sales team Demonstrate leadership and integrity with experience managing and motivating a staff of 5+ team members Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong merchandising and visual skills Excellent organization skills; able to plan and execute tasks efficiently Proactive and creative problem-solving ability Flexible and adaptable with a "can do" attitude Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities Ability to handle turnover of team members Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed Proficient in receiving inventory into a POS a plus Experience with Social Media a plus
