Retail Assistant Manager

We're looking for a reliable, motivated Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations at our vape and smoke shop. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills, leadership experience, and knowledge of vape/smoke products. You'll help manage staff, maintain inventory, ensure compliance, and create a welcoming store environment. Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day store operations and opening/closing procedures Provide excellent customer service and product recommendations Supervise sales associates and support staff performance Help train new employees on products, sales, and store policies Monitor and maintain inventory levels; assist with ordering/restocking Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally Process sales, returns, and cash register balancing Enforce company policies and age-verification procedures Maintain compliance with all local and state regulations Support marketing promotions and in-store events Step in to manage the store in the manager's absence Requirements Previous retail or smoke/vape shop experience preferred Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Basic computer/POS system knowledge Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and professional Must be 21+ years old Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of vape devices, accessories, cigars, hookah, hemp/CBD products Experience with inventory management and ordering Sales-driven mindset with leadership skills
