Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of retail sales staff, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate employees to promote skill development and adherence to college policies and procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling staff shifts, monitoring attendance, and resolving conflicts as needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and oversee merchandise displays to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures, point-of-sale systems, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Support in hiring processes, including interviewing and onboarding new team members.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to improve results.
  • Uphold standards for cleanliness, safety, and security within the retail environment.
  • Foster a positive working atmosphere and encourage teamwork among staff.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding operational needs, challenges, and successes.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant coursework preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a retail sales environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, merchandising, and sales techniques.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Capacity to perform duties in a fast-paced retail setting.
