This role is responsible for overseeing shop personnel, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and meeting production schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience in welding and fabrication process, and leadership skills to lead a team. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities, workflow, and personnel. Lead fabrication, repair, and maintenance projects involving tanker trailers. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work specifications. Perform and oversee MIG and Stick welding operations to ensure quality and compliance. Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to company standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate shop employees. Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and project timelines. Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance throughout the facility. Coordinate with management, customers, and vendors as needed. Troubleshoot fabrication, welding, and repair issues to minimize downtime. Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in tanker trailer manufacturing, repair, or maintenance. Experience with suspensions mechanics. Previous supervisory or lead technician experience. Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings. Strong knowledge of shop safety practices and welding procedures. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience with aluminum and stainless steel tanker trailer fabrication and repair. Knowledge of DOT regulations and tanker trailer inspections. Forklift and/or overhead crane experience. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience. Health, dental, and vision insurance.
