As Store Manager, you're the heartbeat of that experience. You'll lead the vision, run a tight ship operationally, and build the kind of team that customers remember long after they've left the fitting room. This role is for someone who gets fired up by a good sales week, genuinely loves developing people, and knows how to translate brand energy into real business results. You'll own the full picture: performance, people, product, and presentation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Store Operations Own store opening and closing procedures
  • including cash counts, register management, nightly deposits, and securing the facility Build and manage the store schedule with payroll budget in mind, keeping coverage aligned with business needs Manage controllable expenses and ensure American Threads loss prevention policies are consistently executed Oversee Back-of-House operations and lead bi-monthly cycle counts; identify inventory gaps and drive corrective action Complete banking procedures every Monday and Friday Uphold a safe, policy-compliant environment for both your team and your customers Customer Experience & Sales Set the tone on the floor•your energy is contagious.
Model the kind of warm, attentive experience every guest deserves Act as a Fashion Stylist for your customers, using product knowledge to create personalized, memorable interactions Take ownership of your store's financial health
  • analyze KPIs, spot trends, and build clear action plans that move the needs Leverage POS sales reports to track performance and make smart, data-backed decisions Drive revenue, exceed goals, and create a store experience guests want to come back to People & Talent Development Lead by example as Manager-on-Duty
  • keeping the team focused, energized, and operating efficiently Actively recruit top talent and ensure all scheduling needs are covered at all time Take a hands-on-role in onboarding
  • set your new team members up for success from day one Educate your team on product knowledge, promotions, and American Threads customer service standards Champion a performance culture: coach your team on KPIs, share business insights, and celebrate wins Create a motivating environment where people genuinely love coming to work Visual Merchandising Monitor and maintain sales floor inventory levels to keep the store looking full and intentional Read your customer•notice what's moving, what's stalling, and adjust floor placement accordingly Execute visual standards for company-wide promotions and seasonal rollouts Ensure the floor always reflects American Threads' aesthetic•elevated, on-trend, and on-brand Use Item Summary reports to track category performance and inform merchandise decisions

WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of speciality retail management experience in a like-brand environment A genuine entrepreneurial mindset
  • you think like an owner and act like one too Strong business acumen with proven experience driving revenue, managing payroll budgets, and controlling costs Comfort with POS systems (Retail Pro experience a plus) and an ability to translate data into action Clear, confident, communication
  • with your team, your customers, and your leadership Sharp attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment A passion for people development and team building A love for fashion and an awareness of current trends Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred Must be 18 years of age or older
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours Frequent talking, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the shift Comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs
