Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. The Store Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining store standards, managing inventory, and fostering a positive shopping environment. Duties Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management. Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products and services. Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and budgeting to maintain financial health of the store. Implement effective merchandising strategies to optimize product displays and drive sales. Supervise cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies. Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees while providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations. Maintain accurate inventory control through regular stock assessments and ordering processes. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff. Utilize retail math for pricing strategies, sales analysis, and inventory management. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with a strong understanding of store operations. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for enhancing customer interactions. Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities. Proficient in POS systems and cash handling procedures. Experience in merchandising, marketing, and sales management within a retail environment. Ability to lead by example while fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all employees. Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting and financial reporting. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus but not required.
