Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and organized Packaging Department Lead to oversee daily packaging operations and support a small production team. This role is responsible for ensuring packaging tasks are completed according to schedule, maintaining accurate records, and making sure the team has the materials and guidance needed to perform their work efficiently. The Packaging Lead works closely with the Production Director to monitor the packaging schedule, maintain compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations, and help develop team members through training and leadership. Key Responsibilities Monitor and execute the packaging schedule Ensure the Packaging team has all required materials and supplies to complete scheduled tasks Maintain and update packaging inventory on a weekly basis Create batch-specific labels and verify packaging accuracy Complete and maintain required documentation to remain compliant with DOH regulations Train new hires on basic packaging tasks, procedures, and workplace standards Support team productivity by organizing work areas and coordinating daily tasks Report department progress, employee training, and performance updates Help address operational issues and maintain a positive, productive team environment Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lead by example and coordinate a small team High attention to detail, especially with labeling and documentation Good communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction to team members Ability to remain professional and handle occasional difficult situations with staff or workflow challenges
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must pass a mandated state-required background check. Must have reliable self-transportation due to the location of the facility. Public transportation does not reach our location. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of a department's daily workflow. The ideal candidate is someone who can keep operations running smoothly, support their team, and communicate effectively with leadership.
Compensation Starting pay:
