Assistant Store Manager

Full Time,Part Time Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry, with a focus on quick service and fast food restaurants, as well as fine dining experiences. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, inventory control, and cash handling. Manage staff training and development to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Implement effective shift management strategies to optimize staff scheduling and workflow. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and safety standards. Develop and maintain budgets while monitoring financial performance against goals. Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices. Conduct interviews and manage the hiring process for new staff members. Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure quality food production and presentation. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including culinary experience and kitchen management. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on training & development, team management, and supervising experience. Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial oversight in a restaurant setting. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to enhancing guest experiences. Experience in casual dining or banquet settings is preferred, along with barista or coffee experience when applicable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
