Position Summary The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing service operations to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer experience. This role will oversee technicians and service processes, with a strong focus on performance management, KPI accountability, and team development. This position is ideal for a results-oriented leader with a background in service or sales management. Direct HVAC experience is preferred but not required—we value leadership, accountability, and the ability to drive performance through metrics. Responsibilities Lead and manage daily service operations to meet or exceed revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction goals Supervise, coach, and develop service technicians; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Conversion rates Average ticket Revenue per call Call completion rates Productivity and service quality metrics Partner with dispatch to optimize scheduling, routing, and call flow Implement and enforce service processes, pricing strategies, and performance standards Conduct ride-alongs, team meetings, and regular performance reviews Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure a high level of service and brand representation Analyze operational and financial reports to identify trends and drive improvements Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations Collaborate with leadership, sales, and installation teams to support overall business growth Maintain accurate documentation of service activity, reporting, and invoicing Oversee inventory, tools, and equipment management Qualifications Proven experience in service management or operations leadership Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach teams and drive performance through metrics Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Results-driven mindset with strong business acumen Valid driver's license required Requirements HVAC service industry experience Experience with dispatching or service management software Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting EPA certification or relevant trade licenses (a plus) Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Exemplar Care membership contribution Unlimited PTO Paid holidays 401(k) with company match Employee discount program About Merit Management Group Merit Management Group delivers comprehensive management services that help construction, skilled-trades, and home goods retail businesses scale and operate more effectively.
