Job Description
Western Trailers is seeking a Prefab Department Manager to oversee daily operations within our prefab department at our Boise OEM facility. This role is responsible for managing employees, materials, workflow, and production coordination to support multiple departments throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to communicate effectively across departments while balancing changing production priorities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure all prefab workstations are properly staffed and operating efficiently Maintain consistent workflow throughout the department Coordinate with other departments to ensure parts and materials are available as needed Order aluminum, steel, and other raw materials Review and distribute OEM, Parts/Service, and WTN packages appropriately Review employee labor reports daily Maintain awareness of trailer progress throughout production Communicate daily with night shift supervision during shift crossover Lead by example in safety, accountability, teamwork, and work ethic Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or production leadership required Experience with materials planning, workflow coordination, or prefab operations preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints Basic computer and math skills Knowledge of aluminum and steel products preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and leadership skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Schedule Full-time Day shift Monday - Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM In-person position
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits:
