Shop Manager Goff Welding LLC -
Paul, Idaho Pay:
$30.00 - $36.00 per hour Job description: Full-time

  • Production Leadership Role About the Role Goff Welding is hiring a driven and experienced Shop Manager to lead production operations, drive efficiency, and keep fabrication ahead of schedule.
This role is responsible for turning incoming work into completed, field-ready product while maintaining quality, accountability, and production flow. This is not a supervisor role, this is a hands-on production leadership position responsible for shop operations including but not limited to: labor productivity, workflow coordination, and job readiness, walk-ins, sales, and communication with all departments. We are looking for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, solves problems early, and takes ownership of shop performance. What You'll Do Manage daily and weekly shop production schedules Coordinate fabrication priorities to support field install schedules Lead and oversee shop personnel and workflow Monitor labor hours and production efficiency Eliminate bottlenecks, downtime, and unnecessary rework Ensure fabrication meets drawings, specifications, and company standards Verify jobs leave the shop complete and field-ready Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment Coordinate with field crews, procurement, and project leadership Address performance issues and maintain accountability Develop team efficiency, productivity, and shop culture Maintain clear communication across departments What You Bring Previous experience leading fabrication or production teams Strong welding and fabrication background Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Strong organizational and workflow management skills Experience managing labor productivity and schedules Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively Detail-oriented mindset with strong accountability Valid driver's license and reliable transportation What Success Looks Like Field crews are never waiting on fabrication Jobs consistently leave the shop ready for installation Production stays ahead of schedule Labor efficiency remains strong and controlled Minimal rework and production delays Shop operations remain clean, organized, and productive Why Goff Welding?
