About Club Pilates Club Pilates is the world's largest Reformer-based Pilates brand, with over 1,000 studios and growing. Our mission is to make Pilates accessible to everyone by helping people move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives. About the role We're looking for a Sales Manager to lead membership growth across our two Club Pilates studios in the Chicago northwest suburbs.
This is a player-coach role:
you'll personally drive new member acquisition at our Palatine studio while building and developing a high-performing sales team across both locations. Palatine is our growth opportunity — a studio with strong fundamentals and real upside that needs focused sales leadership to reach its potential. Mount Prospect is our established studio, where your role is to maintain momentum and develop the sales team. This role is built for someone who loves sales, loves coaching, and wants to own the outcome at a studio they can genuinely turn into something special. Strong performance creates a real path to broader leadership across the business. What you'll do Drive Palatine growth (60-70% of your time) Personally run intro classes and new member consultations at Palatine Own the Palatine sales funnel from lead to membership: response time, follow-up cadence, conversion Execute daily prospecting activity — phone, text, email, and face-to-face outreach — to convert prospects into members Build community partnerships and grassroots lead generation: corporate wellness, local businesses, events, referral programs Be the visible, energetic presence on the Palatine floor that members and prospects connect with Lead the sales team across both studios Hire, onboard, and develop sales associates at Palatine and Mount Prospect Run weekly sales huddles, monthly 1:1s, and ongoing coaching on intros, conversion, and retention conversations Manage sales associate and front desk schedules Set clear KPIs for each associate and hold the team accountable Coach the Palatine Studio Lead on operational ownership of the Palatine floor Maintain Mount Prospect performance Be present at Mount Prospect on a regular cadence for intros, partnership work, and team coaching Keep conversion rates strong and the sales team sharp Partner with leadership on the member experience Drive all four revenue streams Memberships (primary focus) Retail Private training Teacher training Own the numbers and the operation Palatine new member acquisition and revenue growth Intro-to-member conversion across both studios Retail revenue and inventory management with vendors Member retention through strong onboarding and check-ins Collections on outstanding dues Weekly and monthly reporting to ownership using ClubReady (revenue, attendance, pipeline) Enforce studio policies and ensure exceptional service standards What we're looking for 2+ years in sales, with at least 1 year managing or leading a sales team A track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets Experience coaching others to improve their sales performance Comfort being on the floor every day — this is not a back-office role Strong organizational habits: pipeline management, follow-up discipline, CRM hygiene Genuine warmth and ability to build authentic relationships with members and staff Proficiency with computers and studio management software (ClubReady experience a strong plus) Excellent written and verbal communication Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize in a fast-moving environment Background that translates well Boutique fitness sales lead, studio manager, or membership director Hotel sales manager or front office leader at a service-driven property Retail store manager or assistant manager at a premium brand (Lululemon, Sephora, Apple) Restaurant GM or assistant GM with a service and sales focus High-performing sales associate ready to step into leadership Pilates experience is not required. We'll teach you what you need to know about the workout. We can't teach sales leadership, coaching instincts, or the drive to own an outcome. Compensation Competitive base salary plus commission on personal membership and retail sales, with KPI-based bonuses tied to new member growth, revenue, conversion, and retention.
