About Cowpokes Cowpokes Work & Western, located in Anderson and Cloverdale, Indiana, is the premier western retailer in the state. Boasting over 70,000 items in store and online, Cowpokes is a 33-year-old family-owned and run business that is focused on quality products with high-end customer service. With a large presence at national shows such as the National FFA Convention and NAILE, Cowpokes is proud to be an important part of the American Lifestyle of families across the nation. Position description This important leadership role is paramount to the success of the Cowpokes brand. These individuals serve as shift leadership during customer service hours, serving our in-store customers with the premium Cowpokes service we have prided ourselves on building. These individuals will work with the Cloverdale Store Associates, Cloverdale Assistant Managers, and Cloverdale Store Manager to create a dynamic experience for each customer through knowledgeable assistance, genuine conversation, and motivated attitude. The following tasks will be key to the position: Ensuring accountability and leadership oversight on each shift Overseeing task lists and floor operations on each shift Executing all requests from management on each shift Positive and customer-focused attitude on and off the floor Comfortable approach to customers to help them find solutions for their needs Initiative to learn about product layout on the sales floor Keen interest in western fashion, lifestyle, and product trends Ability to co-market the brand on social media during their shift Maintain a consistent schedule of shifts on the floor and on weekends Preferred Availability & Skills We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following experience and skills: Individual will have availability on weekdays, weeknights, and/or weekends A hard work ethic that is diligent in their tasks and takes initiative Excellent communication skills and ability to speak with customers at ease Ability to navigate technology such as desktop computers, iPads, etc as well as Microsoft Office 365, Shopify, and other supporting software Ability to travel to and from Cowpokes in Cloverdale, Indiana Flexible in work environment, understanding their job may change from day to day or may require them working in different departments
