Back to all jobs Retail Store Manager Schererville, IN, USA 20.00-25.00 per hour Hourly Full Time About Batteries Plus Batteries Plus is the nation's largest and fastest-growing battery, light bulb, key fob, and phone/tablet repair franchise. We serve retail and commercial customers with thousands of unique battery and lighting products, as well as services like phone repair and device recycling. Our team members are problem-solvers, tech-savvy, and focused on providing exceptional service. Position Summary The Store Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of store operations, including leading a team, driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer service. This individual plays a key leadership role in building a performance-driven culture that aligns with Batteries Plus' mission and values. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing team. Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews. Foster a positive and productive team environment.
Sales & Customer Service:
Meet or exceed sales and profitability goals. Ensure every customer receives outstanding service through all touchpoints. Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Store Operations:
Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance. Maintain accurate records for sales, labor, scheduling, and inventory. Ensure proper execution of safety and security procedures.
Financial Management:
Monitor and control expenses to meet or exceed budget goals. Accurately process daily transactions and bank deposits. Utilize reports and KPIs to identify areas of improvement.
Technical Services:
Support and oversee technical services such as device repair and battery testing/installation. Ensure all team members are properly trained on technical services and safety protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred) 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty retail environment preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays Must be able to lift 50+ pounds Technical aptitude with interest in electronics, repair, or automotive a plus What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonus Paid time off Employee discounts Opportunities for advancement within a growing company Ongoing training and development Batteries Plus is an equal opportunity employer.
