Job Description

The Neosho County Road & Bridge Department is looking for a full-time & career minded individual to fill the position of Assistant Office Manager. This position's starting wage is qualification dependent. The person chosen for this position will be required to comply with all state statutes, county, and departmental policies and procedures. The work schedule for this part-time position is Monday through Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM . JOB SUMMARY
Position will be responsible for preparing various correspondence, reports, data entry, numerous miscellaneous documents, phone and e-mail communications. Responsible for performing tasks that support the overall daily operations of the Road & Bridge department for Neosho County.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Enters pertinent data into GWorks Answers incoming phone calls and provides correspondence to appropriate personnel Assists taxpayers with Road & Bridge related questions Organize the daily and grader operator sheets Maintains blank daily, grader operator and leave requests sheets stocked Ensures work area is organized and remains professional Assists with daily office tasks to ensure smooth daily operations Collects fuel sheets, for billing, at the end of each week Supplies the grader operators with new operator and leave request sheets as needed Completes the morning and end of day check in and check out for the grader operators Maintains proper housekeeping in the office Completes data entry of fuel delivery to grader sheds, landfill and quarry Utilizes GWorks data reports to send to the Commissioner and Counselor Maintains inventory of all tools and equipment Places previous years operator sheets, fuel logs, Kansas Onecall and others into boxes Maintains various reports and documents for the Road and Bridge department Enforces and maintains compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ordinances Complies with all organizational and departmental policies and procedures Operates all job-related equipment, machinery, tools and other aids as required or needed Protects and maintains any confidential information whether oral, written, or electronic Ability to cross-train on the duties of the Office Manager, and serve as Office Manager in their absence Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS

Licenses:
Valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, use arms, hands and fingers, speak, hear and see. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to, occasionally, lift up to 25 pounds.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-year relevant work experience in a clerical position preferred, and high school diploma or certified equivalent is required.
