Job Purpose:
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility. This position supervises staff, volunteers, community service workers, etc. by performing the following duties. Position Summary The Store Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and daily operations of the retail store. This role drives sales and production goals, ensures operational excellence, and leads a team of employees, volunteers, and program participants in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the organization's mission. The Store Manager is accountable for store profitability, compliance, team development, and creating a positive, inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and manage employee work schedules Assign team members to appropriate duties to ensure smooth daily operations Coordinate and direct merchandise preparation, pricing, and display standards Monitor cash handling, daily transactions, and reconciliation procedures Ensure compliance with security, sales, and recordkeeping practices Transport store funds to and from the bank Receive and respond to alarm calls (must maintain personal phone service) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized retail environment Orient new hires on emergency plans and procedures Leadership & Team Management Interview, hire, train, and develop store employees Plan, assign, and direct work responsibilities Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching Recognize strong performance and address performance concerns when necessary Support and implement performance improvement and corrective action processes Address employee and customer concerns professionally and effectively Assist with new hire onboarding paperwork for employees at assigned location Customer & Community Experience Model exceptional customer service standards Respond to customer complaints or inquiries promptly and professionally Foster a welcoming environment for customers, donors, and community members Support inclusion and engagement of individuals with disabilities and those facing barriers to employment Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises employees within the assigned retail location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Interviewing, hiring, and training employees Planning, assigning, and directing work Appraising performance Rewarding and disciplining employees Addressing complaints and resolving problems Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum three years of retail management or related supervisory experience preferred Work Schedule Requirements Must be able to work evenings and weekends as business needs require Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team development skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to effectively present information to customers and employees Strong mathematical skills, including calculating discounts, percentages, and commissions Sound judgment and problem-solving ability Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook Certificates & Licenses Valid driver's license or reliable transportation CPR certification (or ability to obtain) Additional Skills Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and disadvantaged populations Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
