Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Glass Department Supervisor on the first shift, where you will lead and coordinate daily operations within the glass manufacturing and fabrication process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee production activities, ensure quality standards, and foster a safe and efficient work environment. As a key leader, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, mentor team members, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety. Duties Supervise daily glass manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and safely Coordinate with team members to plan and prioritize tasks for optimal workflow during the first shift Monitor and maintain quality control using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met Utilize mechanical knowledge and hand tools to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments Oversee fabrication processes involving CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and programmable logic controllers to produce high-quality glass components Ensure compliance with safety protocols by conducting regular safety inspections, promoting safe work practices, and addressing hazards promptly Maintain accurate documentation of production metrics, inspection results, and process improvements to support continuous quality enhancement Experience Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on glass fabrication or machining processes Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Hands-on knowledge of CNC machinery, CAD software, programmable logic controllers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Ability to interpret technical drawings (GD&T - Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precise fabrication and assembly Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Experience working with hand tools, fabrication techniques, machining operations, and precision measuring instruments Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively during first shift operations This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to lead in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while honing their technical skills. $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
