We are currently seeking a friendly & responsive Senior Department Assistant. This position involves office & administrative work to assist with daily operations of the department & serves as the first point of contact for the public. Under the direct supervision of the Health Director, the Senior Department Assistant prepares & maintains permit records for food service, barns, septage haulers, pools, camps, motels, septic, housing inspections & disposal installers. Processes department attendance, payroll & accounts payable & receivable consistent with budget appropriations. Supports the Board of Health, as needed, including but not limited to posting meeting agendas, assembling & distributing meeting materials & ensures compliance with State Open Meeting Law. High school diploma or equivalent required, associate?s degree preferred, & a minimum of two years office or related experience; municipal experience preferred, Munis &/or OpenGov software experience a plus, or an equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
