Assistant Body Shop Manager 320 East Main Street, Milford, MA 01757 From $50,000 a year - Full-time From $50,000 a year - Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Body Shop Manager and play a vital role in delivering exceptional vehicle repair and restoration services. In this energetic position, you'll support the Body Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will help streamline processes, motivate technicians, and uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your automotive repair expertise while contributing to a vibrant, team-oriented atmosphere. Duties Assist in managing daily body shop operations, including workflow coordination and quality control Support technicians with auto body repair, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing tasks Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations through regular inspections Help oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to maintain safety protocols Collaborate with the team on vehicle maintenance procedures and auto restoration projects Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service documentation Promote a positive work environment by motivating staff, facilitating training on new techniques, and fostering teamwork Experience Appraisers Certification is a plus Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in auto body repair and vehicle maintenance Mechanical knowledge of auto painting, auto glass installation, and general automotive repair processes Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with auto restoration projects and detailed vehicle detailing techniques Prior experience supporting or assisting a Body Shop Manager is preferred but not required Strong understanding of safety procedures related to auto repair and heavy equipment use Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks effectively within a team setting Join us to be part of an energetic environment where your skills make a real difference!
