Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing sales. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for retail and strong leadership skills.
Duties:
Assist the Store Manager in managing all aspects of the store, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and administrative tasks Train and supervise retail staff to ensure they provide exceptional customer service Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Store Manager to ensure timely replenishment Utilize pointofsale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently Perform retail math calculations to analyze sales data and make informed decisions Assist customers with inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide product recommendations Maintain a clean and organized store environment Conduct regular inventory counts and implement effective inventory control procedures Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales Handle cash register operations, including opening and closing procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience in a retail management role is required Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and staff Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers Ability to perform basic retail math calculations Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy Administrative skills for record keeping and reporting purposes Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
