This is a full-time, in-store leadership role for someone who enjoys working with customers, managing showroom activity, following up on leads, and helping homeowners find the right flooring solutions for their projects. The Store Manager will be responsible for creating a professional showroom experience, driving retail sales, helping coordinate projects, and representing the FloorMax brand with pride and accountability. The ideal candidate should be organized, personable, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of the store's day-to-day success. Flooring experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has strong sales ability, customer service skills, and a desire to learn. Schedule This position requires the Store Manager to work five days per week from the Parkville showroom. The standard schedule will generally be 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, five days per week , with specific days determined based on store coverage, customer appointments, and business needs. Saturday availability may be required depending on showroom traffic and staffing. This is not a remote position. Consistent in-store presence is an important part of this role. What You'll Be Doing Manage the Showroom Oversee the daily activity of the Parkville showroom, including customer walk-ins, phone calls, appointments, product displays, store appearance, and overall professionalism. Sell Flooring Products and Services Work with residential customers to understand their flooring needs, explain product options, recommend solutions, and close sales. Lead the Customer Experience Guide customers through the process from initial showroom visit or inquiry through estimate, product selection, scheduling, installation, and follow-up. Follow Up and Drive Sales Manage leads, follow up consistently with customers, build relationships, and help grow showroom revenue through strong communication and accountability. Coordinate Projects Work with internal teams, estimators, installers, and operations to help ensure projects move smoothly from sale to completion. Maintain Product Knowledge Learn flooring products, installation methods, pricing, promotions, and vendor programs so you can confidently assist customers. Represent FloorMax Create a positive, professional, and service-oriented environment that reflects the values and reputation of Next Day Floors.
